we watched two pileated woodpeckers in the backyard this am, they seem to show up just once each year, on the left bLoGdE's lame attempt to capture a nervous bird digitally, on the right someone else’s success...what magnificent birds they are, each year they catch my eye probably because of their large wing span flashing in the backyard....
